I'm assisting the Confucius Institute Headquarters in promoting the Confucius Institute and Confucius classroom work around the world.I am the president of the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching. We have over 4,000 members, nearly half of whom are non-Chinese people distributed in 68 countries.I can ask the Confucius Institute Headquarters and any eligible Confucius Institute on five continents to participate in the career. For example,we once supported the Confucius Institute of Athens University of Economics and Business to hold a high-level dialogue on world civilizations. The topic was very interesting, namely what inspiration Aristotle and Confucius can give to today's globalized economy".
There are many things to do in an earnest way.For UNESCO,we hold the atti-tude of cooperation and mutual respect.I also highlighted in today's opening speech that a two-ton tripod outside Nishan Shengyuan College is the expression of the inner feelings.I could say, except technology,no other problem exists in the cooperation between Organizing Committee of Nishan Forum on World Civilizations and UNESCO.
For the next forum,I consider a preliminary topic-"how different civilizations live in harmony",which is also advocated by UN and UNESCO.We should take actionand consider taking educational, scientific and economic measures through government, institutions and media, thus Judaism,Christianity,Catholicism, etc.can conduct a friendly dialogue on the podium. This topic also means our in-depth dialogue.I'mvery interested in the event proposed by Kazakhstan.I have visited many Islamic countries,so I can deeply understand what UN Security Council President said: "We cannot link any bad thing in the world to nation, nationality and civilization." I also planned to organize a dialogue between Confucian and Islamic civilization, but I temporarily gave up it for the reason of the Middle East and North Africa problem.
