This book begins with the study of art pieces to breaking down the three different stages of feats and accomplishments by emperors Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong: From experiments to successful production, from classification of style and taste to establishing new tradition, and to eventually managing imperial politics and interactions between local offices. The book is divided into five chapters which are: "Painted Enamels from the Qing Imperial Palace: The Coming Together of New Art Classification", "The Kangxi Era: Experiments and New Birth", "The Yongzheng Era: Classification of Style and Taste", "The Qianlong Era: Establishing New Tradition", and lastly, "Imperial Politics and Local Interactions".
