ParkKeun-tae is the president and CEO of CJ Group's operations in China. He has lived here for 29 years. Three things about him are wellknown among Chinese business circles. One is that he has a list of contacts surpassing 10,000 and that does not include nodding acquaintances limited to exchange of business cards. Secondly, because he has so many contacts, there is no problem that he cannot overcome. "I'll make arrangements" is his pet phrase. That is why he is also known as "Arrangement Park." Thirdly, wherever he is dining, he arrives ahead of time so that he may give free seasonings to the cooks at the restaurant for trial use. CJ Group deals in four major industries: foodstuffs, biological engineering, logistics and entertainment. The company hires 12,000 people in China and has an annual sales volume of 20 billion yuan. The most visible part of its business is Tous Les Jours Bakeries, CGV Film Center, Daxida seasonings and Baiwi tofu. Apart from foodstuffs, CJ's cultural and entertainment business is quite successful too.
