Usage Advice: For secondary school students who are taking short-term, beginning Chinese language courses. Each lesson can be finished in one day with 4 class hours devoted to it. Book B （includes 15 lessons） is suitable for short-term programs covering 1-3 weeks.

Middle School
This is an entry level course book of integrated Chinese for secondary school foreigners who are taking short-term Chinese courses in China. It includes Textbooks A and B and the corresponding workbooks. Each book has 15 lessons. The book is function-based, aiming to be quick and practical. It trains the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, and the matching workbooks provide exercises on listening, speaking, syntactic reading, translation and writing, each type consisting of various practice drills. After that there are games and activities to cater to teenagers' learning interest. Every five lessons form one unit, followed by a unit test, in addition to the final test at the end of the book.
