The emperors of Song Dynasty were quite literarily talented, among whom Song Hui Zong was the greatest, up to today he is still valued by people nowadays. In the Catastrophe of Jingkang, Huizong fell captive by Jin soldiers and was sent to the North of Great Wall and was given several Mu of land for living by Jin people. The once miracle-making hand has to hold plough to till the land today. This set of playing cards is the fourth set in the series “Five Thousand Years in China --- A Collection of Paintings by Chinese Emperors of Various Dynasties”, which covers a time span of about 320 years, emperors from the Five Dynasties and Ten States, the North Song and South Song Dynasties, Liao and Western Xia Dynasties are selected for the collection.
