In the Northern Dynasties, nationalities in the north of Great Wall
had gradually grown up, strong enough to overthrow the reign. The Tang
Dynasty was rather easy going, started after Sui Dynasty and ended with
the remaining influence of Five Dynasties, its territory was boundless.
The peculiar situation of Tang Dynasty was quite emotional, its royalty
fell in succession. The dynasty was romantic, people then were doing
nothing but composing poems day and night. This set of playing cards is
the third set in the series “Five Thousand Years in China --- A
Collection of Paintings by Chinese Emperors of Various Dynasties”, which
covers a time span of about 520 years, emperors from the Northern
Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties are selected for the collection.
