Meiying interrupts him, “Chen Xiaowei just knows reading books like a prisoner. She knows nothing about the world and has become numb. I invited her to live in the apartment near the emerald lake, but she wanted to go home after a few days. Her house is quite small. I cannot understand her…”
Ding is lost in thought: Yes, a prisoner. He is also like a prisoner staying in the laboratory. The difference is that there is numerous data and instruments around him. However, Chen Xiaowei is imprisoned by words and works. She is a famous expert on Hemingway. Each successful person lives a life like prisoner. But, how about himself? He doesn’t want to think about it anymore and stares at the dishes silently.

Preface

What’s the meaning of human’s climbing the summit again and again? Such original impulsion with some sense of mission urges them to bid farewell to relatives and head for unpredictable zones without hesitation. Desire is a demand impelling people delightedly. Due to such desire, people want to stand higher and see further.

The route taken in a spiritual climb is quite arduous. Sometimes I am scared of the endless route, but I seemingly see my protagonist waiting for me up ahead in the unseen world. Sometimes, I am eager to get close to them or cautiously keep away from them, because I am worried that they will experience an accident on the way or some will be disappointed at their ending. Actually, I clearly know that life is endless, so is climbing.
