The author, U Soe Nyunt has long been an ardent advocate of Sino-Burmese friendship. He was Deputy Minister for Culture before his retirement. Although he is 74 years old, he has never stopped writing, and is still active in Burma's literary world and international poetry circles. He turned what he had seen and heard into endless creative inspiration, and composed the exciting and affecting Songs of Sino-Burmese friendship. This collection includes some of his poems extolling Sino-Burmese friendship.
