The book gives a detailed introduction to the exlibris designed by Ni Jianming, a well-known exlibris designer and collector in China. Here included in the book are the exlibris of characters in the Beijing opera, Chinese door-god, charactors in the traditional Chinese opera, style and features of Chinese society, blue-and-white porcelain, local customs of the regions of rivers and lakes, etc. In addition, it also includes the exlibris designed for the famous literati, artists, scholars and foreign exlibris collectors.
The book has a limited printing number of 1200 copies, including 100 special copies with genuine exlibris, which are auctioned for negotiated price.
