It is a self-study workbook of HSK vocabulary. In order to provide a rich and comprehensive learning guidance of vocabulary for readers, the book mainly includes the columns of Vocabulary Presentation which can provide the Pinyin and property of the words, Examination Questions and Example Sentences, which selects at least two example sentences from past exam papers to present each word, Common Matching of Words which also selects examples from past exam papers, Correcting Errors which selects the errors the examinees have made in exams to help students further understand the words, and Vocabulary Expansion which provides extended vocabulary on each item to increase the vocabulary of learners.

HSK Syllabus HSK Vocabulary Handbooks, which can be divided into four volumes by level, are self-study handbooks of HSK vocabulary. HSK Syllabus·HSK Vocabulary Handbook (Level 1~3) is the first volume. Each entry of this book mainly consists of four parts: 1. Vocabulary display, which involves pinyin, part of speech and English interpretation; 2. Common collocations, which provides several commonly used practical collocations; 3. Example sentences, each word provides two sentences, and most of the sentences are extracted from real HSK tests. 4. Right and wrong usage, mistaken usage of the past candidates is selected and shown to the candidates so that they can have a more in-depth understanding of the word. 5. Vocabulary expansion, words related to each entry are provided so that learners' Chinese vocabulary can be rapidly expanded.
