" Patent Statistics Yearbook -2012 " ( hereinafter referred to as " Annual Report " ) is a reflection of the progress of work of a comprehensive patent annual data. This report contains 2012 China's provinces , autonomous regions and municipalities patent data and the world 161 countries and data as well as patent applications in China over the years has been the main patent data . The report is divided into eight parts, namely: ( a ) Applications for Patents ; ( two ) patent application for authorization status ; ( three ) Patents in Force ; ( four ) patent agent status ; ( five ) patent applications, licensing classified according to IPC distribution ; ( six ) and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions to foreign patent applications and licensing conditions ; ( seven ) business progress of the patent ; ( eight ) patent administrative law enforcement situation . Patent data relating to the above , according to domestic and foreign , three kinds of patents, duties and non-service , international patent classification grouping . In addition to data from the State Intellectual Property Bureau statistical summary , the sixth part of the data by the Chinese foreign patent agency provides ; eighth part of the data provided by the local patent authorities . Unless otherwise stated , the number of tables in this report are in " pieces ." International patent statistics are evaluated for scientific and technological strength , scientific output compare , evaluate market competitiveness an important indicator in the international science and technology , economic analysis plays an important role. This report is to understand the analysis of the various regions and sectors, patent work , inventiveness and predict an important basis for the development of science and technology in promoting scientific and technological progress and economic development has a certain role .
