This book analyzes linguistic rhythm from phonetic perspective, especially the rhythmic characteristics and types of Chinese language, explores the Chinese language acquisition of child speakers and second language learners, and analyzes the neural mechanism of linguistic rhythmic processing. The explorations of these issues not only help determine the rhythmic characteristics and types of Chinese, but also have important significance to solve the fundamental problems in the linguistic rhythmic studies in the present day, such as the functional mechanism that Ramus put forward, the hypothesis about the linguistic rhythmic types, the functions and interrelations between the pitch pattern and the rhythmic characteristics when they distinguish different languages, and the leading role one's right brain plays in the awareness and production of rhythm and language meter. <br/>
